I’m taking part in the Cardiff Half Marathon in October to raise funds for Melanoma UK. Some of you will know that a close family member has been diagnosed with skin cancer, and this is a cause very close to our hearts.

Melanoma skin cancer is the 5th most common cancer in the UK, accounting for 4% of all new cancer cases (2016-2018). Yet it doesn’t always get the attention and funding it deserves. Melanoma UK provides support and information to those diagnosed with this devastating disease, and their families and friends.

The success of Melanoma UK relies on the generosity of people like you making donations.
All donations finance new initiatives to heighten awareness of melanoma skin cancer, as well as support Melanoma UKs projects to provide information and support to patients and their caregivers when they need it most.

We are grateful for every bit of support that we get, no matter how small it may be. Kath Ward
