Experience the adventure of a lifetime and make a difference in the world.

Our Ambassador, David Uttley, has only gone and managed to secure a place to climb Kilimanjaro with him on 31st July 2023!

David has just kicked off his training regime and is getting himself ready to "walk on the roof of Africa" this July, but he is looking for someone else who has the desire, passion and fundraising power to join him with a chance of a lifetime to explore Tanzania and support Melanoma UK at the same time.

All you have to do is pledge to raise £5K and walk on the king of the African skyline! The cost of the trip is secured; all we want you to do is show how serious you are and pledge to fundraise for us.

We have provided a few details below, but if you are keen to know more, then contact David at: 07535 366416 or alternatively drop him an email at: [email protected]

Don't miss out on this opportunity and do something good. Get in touch with David and find out how you can join him on this unforgettable journey!

Please note that the figure shown above for fundraising does not cover personal equipment such as clothing, boots, and other essential gear.

About Kilimanjaro Challenge 2023

Working with The British Expedition Company, Life Changing Challenges can now offer this amazing Trek!!

The expedition offers participants the challenge of trekking the highest free-standing mountain in the world and Africa’s highest peak – Mt Kilimanjaro. Standing 5,896m above Tanzania's savannah, the snow-capped mountain dominates the landscape for miles around.

Flights depart from Heathrow airport and arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport, where a private transfer will take you directly to Moshi – the village at the mountain's base. To help with acclimatisation, you will stay in the Springlands Hotel 4* for two nights enabling you to relax and prepare for the trip ahead. You ascend Kilimanjaro via the Machame Route, which is the best route to view the stunning landscape and offers easier acclimatisation. There are both 6- and 7-day Machame routes on the mountain for greater flexibility. The mountain route that will be used maximises the chances of success and makes for a delightful trip. The mountain is spectacular, with lush rainforests at the base and clear blue skies at the snow-covered peak.

It is unnecessary to be extremely fit to undertake the trip as the walking will be very slow on the mountain to acclimate to the altitude. This trek is porter-assisted. Therefore, trekkers will only be asked to carry on a small, lightweight day pack.

Each group is led by a fully qualified Kilimanjaro National Park Mountain Guide assisted by porters and cooks.

During the hotel stay, a representative of the trekking company is always on hand for advice, and they are incredibly accommodating, courteous, and friendly.
